Should Business Owners Be Worried Of The New Google Panda?

By Lori West

Google Search lead man Amit Singhal in one interview said that Google creates up to 500 algorithm modifications in a year. This is not unexpected knowing that Google desires the best search experience for its end users. Just recently, Google launched 40 modifications to the search experience. Most of these modifications focused on enhancing the user interface. For example, soon there will be bigger images for the thumbnails, localized prediction for trending searches, with others. As far as the search rankings in Google is concerned, the recent modifications included an update to the Google Algorithm, Panda.

Should Website Owners Be Wary Of The New Panda?

Many website owners have reacted warily towards what they perceive as major modifications on the search algorithm. Google states that the Panda upgrade will make the Panda system more precise and more sensitive to recent alterations on the web.

Note the terms accurate and recent. When Google Panda was launched last year, many websites obtained advantage from writing onsite and offsite content that was new, hot and newsworthy. This is because essentially, Google Panda Update is about searching the web for the freshest and most significant and timely information which Google will feed its users, in the same way that a Panda will gobble up on new bamboo for its food.

How To Be Algorithm-Proof? Align Your Website With Google

Website owners must not feel afraid that some big alterations are happening if only they are allies with Google. To be allies with Google means to be favored by Google. And to be favored Google, sites simply need to offer what Google wants. Google wants solely one thing and that is content. Frequently updating one's website with quality content that users can profit from will make Google rank this site high.

What does a pertinent content appear to be before Google's eyes? One reference to use is Google Trends, which offers data on searches and topics which are trending over the worldwide web given a specific time period. Keep in mind, websites that give high quality content that are relevant and timely will receive Google's vote as being the credible site.
